Nordic Walking is a fantastic open-air sport, a gentle exercise that develops stamina, strength and body fitness. It is a perfect way to lose weight without overtiring the joints.
Nordic Walking actively involves arm movement. This strengthens the muscles of the shoulders and chest, as well as those of the neck. Thanks to the Nordic Walking technique, less pressure is placed on the hips, knees and feet. Generally speaking, Nordic Walking is 30% more effective than traditional walking. Nordic Walking exercises all the major muscles, just like cross-country skiing. The arms and shoulders are actively involved, making the exercise more effective. It is also an easy sport to practise – a natural movement with alternate rhythm.
